Congratulations to our member of the month, Tracy Stonaker!!!

Tracy is a committed member of our 6am crew and shows up 4-5 days a week without fail. What you may not know however is that over the past few months Tracy has managed to put in work inside the gym, while participating in several races and logging a whole lot of miles each week while training for the upcoming Philly Marathon. Obviously this is no easy task, but Tracy trains smart, backs off when necessary and modifies workouts to fit in with her training routine outside of the gym. She is an extremely coachable athlete who shows up, puts in the work and has quietly made huge strides in her fitness. She continues to support all of those around her and makes the 6am class better each day. We look forward to seeing her continued progress and success in her upcoming races.

We look forward to participating in the custom WOD that Pat will put together for Tracy this month.

What are your favorite movements? 

                Clean and Jerk

What is your least favorite movement?

               Thrusters

How did you get into CrossFit and how long have you been training?

My cousin started doing CrossFit and she loved it and wouldn’t stop talking about it. What she was saying intrigued me, so I did some research and eventually found a box near me. I started at CrossFit Tribe a little over 2 years ago and have loved CrossFit ever since. I moved over to CrossFit Vae Victis when Pat and Scott opened the box.

What is your favorite thing about CrossFit?

It’s never boring. Every day is a different workout, which challenges and pushes you.

What do you like most about CrossFit Vae Victis?

The programming and attentiveness of the coaching staff. They’re quick to correct a movement and provide tips and tricks to help me optimize my performance. They’ve also gone out of their way to help me in training for OCR and Endurance Races.

Favorite cheat food?

           Bagel with cream cheese

Tell us one interesting fact about you others may not know.

          I love to build things and program them using Arduinos

Name one goal or personal record you want to achieve in the next year?

        Complete the Philly Marathon on November 22. After the marathon, I’ll be focusing on being able to complete all CrossFit

movements. I need to get better at kipping and work on getting HSPU and Muscle Ups.
