We would like to encourage as many members as possible to sign up for this race because Ricky was a friend of Coach TC. This event has been going on for 12 years now and we would like to show our support for a great cause.
The Ricky Wilcox Scholarship fund was formed in memory of Ricky Wilcox, by his family and friends. Ricky was a well respected student athlete slated to attend West Virginia University. On June 14, 2004, his life was cut short the day before his high school graduation in a car accident. The scholarship fund has been set up in his honor, to recognize athletes who embody the qualities Ricky demonstrated to his school mates and opposing athletes. The scholarships are awarded on a yearly basis to students athletes who are attending college.
